Lagi lagi exam.

Hello. Hye. Yo. Assalamualaikum. xD

Today, I left for campus at about 730am since the lectures are at 8. Damn, it was COLD. Not the "when I talk there's air" cold but more of like the "I'll make sure I'll wear a sweater" cold. Hehe. Yeah, I kinda thought I could handle the temperature and ended up leaving the apartment with only a T-shirt on. Oh, with pants too of course. :P

So, since there's only gonna be lectures today, I figured that at least I will try to keep my eyes open compared to yesterday's afternoon lectures. Urh, pagi nye lectures pun same gak. Ngantok. Tapi takdelah sengantok semalam. Haih. Ape nak jadi ni Jo?

Anyways, this Saturday I'll be having another end-of-block examinations. Penat penat. Furthermore, it's the block of Neuroscience. Tadi dah "penat penat", meh che tambah "pening pening" pulak. I'm pretty sure I'll be something like this for the next few days.

Yeah, I always fall asleep while studying. :P

Ok fine, that's a lil bit exagerrated. I don't ALWAYS fall asleep when studying. At certain times je. Who doesn't? ;) At least, when I study, I'm a little bit more stylish than this French dude. :P Sexy schmuck.

Our French fries friend (Napoleon) in his study. :P

Hope I managed to make some of you laughed cause I know, I need some. Hehehe. Till next, or as our French guy would say, A la prochaine, au revoir. :)

Summer wish list. ;)

Hye guys. I don't really know what to post so in the end, I decided to enlighten those without Facebook to get a glimpse of my wish list, as mentioned in my previous entry. ;)

So, here they are~

1. Nikon D80 (Body only)

2. AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR

3. AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D

Well, these are the basics anyway, which I hope will be affordable with my budget of RM 3500. They're a beauty, aren't they? :P I know, I know. "Boys and their toys." Lol.

But this list may change as August 2009 draws nearer though. The reason for it being the release of Nikon's latest DSLR, the D90. It is about RM 3100 for the body only at the moment. If the price drops to about RM 2500 by August next year, I'll be hunting for D90 rather than the D80. *eyes full of admiration* Haha. How I wish Blogger enabled smileys in their entries. :P

I guess we'll just wait and see. Till then, keep on clicking(or snapping)~ xD

New interest. :)

When I listened to my housemate telling me about his intention to take up photography last semester, I simply listened without paying that much attention. Photography is at the moment THE trend to follow and DSLR cameras are selling like hot cakes, so I figured he simply got attracted to all that hassle, hence the interest. However when he came back this sem with a Canon EOS 1000D, I've to admit, I did wow-ed. :P

So, I started 'molesting' the 1000D and was really amazed at how the photos came up. And this was taken by an amateur(me). How would a semi-pro photo look like? How would a PRO snap his photo? All this began to intrigue my interest and I started opening several websites on photography. Reading articles about basics of photography, photo-editing, reviews on different DSLRs definitely 'poisoned' me. And once I looked up the Nikon Malaysia website, I was sucked into the whirlpool. With all the technicalities about the camera, techniques on taking different kind of pictures, and simply the knowledge of knowing which lens to use in adverse conditions, how can I not fall for photography? ;)

And now, I have put up a wish list of what I'm planning to get on Facebook. Hehe. They won't come cheap, I know. That is why starting last month, I've set aside about USD100 from my monthly allowance from MARA for this new hobby of mine. :P So by August next year, I'll have about USD 1000 to spend on these items in my wish list. Nyeh3.

Oh btw, if you remember, my last entry was about my name being nominated for a post in the Student's Union here. Well, we had the elections last Friday, and thank God, I lost, barely. :P If only you guys can see how joyed I was when the eight and last name was announced. :) But I did play a part in it I guess. On the election day itself, I did promise like a few people, if they didn't vote for me and I don't get elected, I'll treat them with a big lunch. Hehe. Orang lain melobby untuk menang, aku je melobby untuk kalah. Eh eh, it wasn't I alone who did this. There were like 2 others, and kalau tak silap, diorang berdua akan belanja dalam 20 orang makan pizza at my house today. Damn it, I've got class from 12 to 4. No free pizza for me. :(

Urh, something stinks. Oh wait, I think it's me. :P Baru balik main bola en. Hehe. Okay then, shower time. Byee.

Hm, my name, again.

Late last night when I was preparing to turn in for the night, an email came through to our Yahoogroup student's portal, Alexmed. It was one which I've been waiting for a few days now - the nominations for the Students' Committee of PERUBATAN Alexandria. Normally people wait to see whether are they nominated because they really want a post. But in my case, it is the opposite.

You see, I've been holding a post in the committee for two years running now. First as the secretary in my first year and this term, I am as of right now, the out-going treasurer. To be honest I've never wanted to hold any responsibilities other than my own responsibility here as a student, a son to my parents and those whom I dearly love and sorely miss back home. But I guess, people see it in me. Fair enough.

However, our Union here in Alexandria is nearly 3 years of age. More and more members have stood up and shown that they too have the capabilities to carry some sort of burden on their shoulders. So, I'm technically begging, to any Alexandrians who reads this blog, give me a pat on the back and say, "You've done enough for us, but now its time to pass the baton to someone else." To my friends, my housemates, you've seen me juggle my different responsibilities on countless occasions. As a friend, I am asking a favor. One which I will be grateful for, in the long run.

Every vote counts. Cast them on others who wants a post. Cast them on those who have stood up and shown what they can do. Give them a chance. And give me a chance, to simply be, a 3rd year medical student of Alexandria University.

Thank you, Facebook.

This entry is dedicated to those who are still in the gray, still unable to realize the fact that Facebook > Myspace > Friendster > Kawanster > the rest.

What most of us do realize is the importance of these sites which I'm sure is dedicated to meeting new people, getting in touch with long lost friends and even extending one's boundaries. Globalization, the "it" way if I may say. So, I've had the luxury to sign up and try for the first three social utilities and I have to say that Facebook is by far THE best.

Yeah, beginners will need to take some time to get use to the numerous numbers of applications offered by Facebook but they are kinda slick and fun, once you get use to them. The user interface is also much easier to handle compared to Myspace and Friendster. You'll be able to get a lot done just by the click of a few buttons. And if I may add, Facebook does look a little bit more stylish and smart compared to the rest. I quote a friend who said, "Friendster ni boleh kira untuk kampong lah en." Haha. To not offend anyone, lets just let him remain anonymous. :P

Anyway, what I really wanted to share was my latest Facebook achievement. Hehe. Just a few days back, I managed to track down a few friends from Sri Garden, where I attended Primary 1 till Primary 6. And here's what I got. ;)

-Primary 1, Sekolah Sri Garden-

Yerp, that photo was taken about THIRTEEN years ago when I was only 7. I don't even remember the teachers being that BIG. Heh. I grabbed this from an old classmate whom I happenend to stumble on in Facebook. Hehe. No extra marks for spotting where I am though. It's a no-brainer. Haha.

Well, time to bundle up under the blanket. It's getting colder nowadays. Till then.

Ps: A long, warm bubble bath would certainly do great right now. ;) (Ngade2 pulak aku. Haha.)

Picture time. =)

Hey hey. Hehe. I promised you guys a few entries back that I'll upload the pics of my new apartment right? So I took the hassle of putting my 3.2 megapixel Nokia 5610 cam into action. I know I know, its all about DSLRs now and not camera phones. Heh, janji ade. :P

So here's a few of them.

-My messy room, obviously-

-Ze dining hall-

-Ze living room-

-Ze kitchen and bathroom-
(What do you expect? I'm not gonna let you guys see how they look up close, duh?)

Well, that's about it I guess. Oh, I had my end-of-block exam yesterday btw. We had four subjects all together and this time around, instead of 1 paper for every subject, we had an integrated paper where all four subjects were put into 1. They sort of gave us a few clinical problems and there were questions about the problems which requires us to fully understand all four subjects to be able to answer them. So yeah. I kinda hit a bump for a few questions and I'm sure it'll hurt later on. :P

Oh, well. *shrugs*

A la prochaine, au revoir. ;)
